Hi,

I've been on the lookout for a 2.1 speaker system that I can connect to
my SB.

Originally, I had in mind something along the lines of the DualCube
system that's produced by Bose but upon further investigation, I
discovered that it's only designed to connect into their Lifestyle
range of media systems (which I don't have). All the plugs and
connections are proprietry so they wouldn't easily connect into a 3rd
party amp.

So, I've been Googling a little bit and most of this type of system
seem to be targetted for the PC market. Consequently, a lot of them are
particularly cheap and nasty (and look it too, IMHO). I have been unable
to locate a mid-range system. Creative and Logitech, no less, produce a
few.

Essentially, I wanted satelite speakers that were unobtrusive and a sub
containing the amp that could be tucked away in a corner. So, all that
would really be visible would be the SB itself. I was trying to avoid
going down the separate speakers, sub, and amp route if at all possible
... mainly because this 'creates' another box (the amp) but it could
also push the price up for a reasonable quality system.

However, I'm open to suggestions so if anybody has some thoughts I'd
love to hear them.

Cheers,
Gavin
