It'll be interesting to see which DAC they go with for any new player. Will they stick with Burr-Brown/TI? Or will they move on to a lower-grade AKM than that used in the Transporter? I get the impression they did this with the Transporter only because the AK4396 was so new and had such impressive specs. Also I would think that they may double the flash. Apparently things are getting quite tight in the firmware now.
