I had a Beosound 9000 with a SB3 connected to AUX, worked like a charm. However I found myself not using the CD/radio at all so I sold it and now connects the SB3 directly to a pair of Beolap 8000's. Set the little dip switch on the back (where the power supply is connected) to passive mode and the speakers will turn on/off automatically.
