hi and thanks for the quick response! slimserver runs on windows 2000.
tried the microsoft tool wmal2pcm.exe to convert the WMA to wav and it worked (for the file). but when playing the 24 bit 88 kHz (?) wav-file through transporter the only thing I heard was terrible 24 bit pink noise! on the computer, I have a the video lan client (VLC) player, which played the converted WAV file. transporter does not play the WMA lossless file even when set conversion to WAV format in slimserver settings. what the heck? when I try to play the WMA lossless file with TP, the server shows an windows error message box (german): Der Prozedureinsprungpunkt "WMCreateReader" wurde in der DLL "WMVCore.dll" nicht gefunden. this means something like the DLL file couldn't find the entry point or something like that? windows 2000 related? I just upgraded from 6.5.0 to 6.5.1 but I don*t think thats the issue? any other tool than the microsoft tool to convert wma lossless to plain WAV? thanks for the tip with spectrum analyzer, but I'm far from that :) -- truckfighters Transporter -> REDGUM RGASIL -> REDGUM RGi120ENR AMP -> REDGUM LS Cable -> Infinity Kappa 8.1i -> Live! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ truckfighters's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7852 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=31616 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
