one can only tell if it makes a difference in the context of one's own
system. If your ancilliary components are susceptible to RF
interference in such a way as to manifest the problem to the audio
band, then yes, replacing the SMPS with a linear may make a difference.

After coming into some understanding of the cascaded regulation, I see
no reason why a linear would make the power supply, at the chip level
in the analog stage, any bit better than the stock SMPS. But hey it's
one guys opinion and there is a current market for it. In the
audiophile loony tunes business if you build it they will come.
