I recently started using Accuraterip ( http://www.accuraterip.com/ ) in combination with EAC and flac. Just so I get an extra confirmation of how good the rip I just did is. Had to mess around a bit to get it to work, but now it does and it's quite nice.
btw, I think the the change to make it work was to check EAC Options -> Extraction > "Fill up missing offset samples with silence". jan
