Isn't it obvious? Ebony is the wood used to make the black keys on a piano (at least, it used to be). If it is musical enough for a piano, it is certainly musical enough for an SB. This is the same sort of nonsense that has some people at DIYaudio.com trying to make heatsinks out of bronze and finishing the wood cases of their home made electronics (yes, wood!) with violin lacquer. All it takes is too little knowledge and someone to come along and recognize and take advantage of it and voila! a new industry is born!
