Science is not done by people randomly trying stuff with no idea why it would or wouldn't work. I've seen no technical explanation of why such a thing would work, nor have I seen any mention of any studies which control for placebo effects which indicate that it would. And a sighted evaluation with one data point doesn't actually constitute an experiment, for reasons it's just too tedious to rehash. If someone wants to show that these things work in some kind of rigorous way, more power to them.
