What excesses? Can you point to a post in the infamous "feet" thread
that was even slightly rude, let alone excessive? It's amazing how
sensitive you seem to be to any disagreement. And there was no
"sniping", if you're referring to my posts at least - I really am
interested in sound reproduction as are the others here; why else would
we post here? To argue pointlessly with people? I have better uses for
my time than that.

I read and post on this forum because it's interesting, because I learn
things from it, because it has changed my views in unexpected ways,
because audiophilia is a rewarding hobby, and because I will probably
teach a class on the physics of music and sound at some point, so the
knowledge is actually practical. There are people here that know much
more than I do about many subjects, and it's interesting to hear what
they have to say. You're among those people, actually, and it's a
shame that you seem to have so much trouble dealing with a very mild
level of argumentation that takes place here.

So much so in fact that you've twice (in the time I've been posting
here) declared you were permanently leaving, only to come back some
time later.

This discussion of censorship is a waste of time - it's a very bad idea
that's not going to happen, and if it did it would ruin the forum for a
large fraction of the participants. I think we should let it drop and
get back to something interesting.
