OK - so you want 2 channel 24x96 or 24x192? You're probably not going to find anything affordable / off-the-shelf to decode HDMI, but enabling the existing s/pdif output could be a relatively easy hack depending on how the unit is wired up inside. If the internal DAC is still active while playing these formats, there's a good chance they're still pumping data to the s/pdif transmitter chip, and it's just disabled while playing the locked formats... if not, you could grab the raw PCM signal going to the DAC and hook it to your own s/pdif output.
