Yes, I was experiencing something similar.

What I wound up doing was to convert the original 88.2 KHz 24 bit WMA
files to 48 KHz 24 bit WAV files. Those play perfectly through my SB3
and the sample rate and bit depth are also shown correctly.

I used dBpowerAMP to make the conversion.

I have read elsewhere on this forum that you cannot stream 88.2 KHz to
the transporter, and in that case you should upconvert your files to 96
KHz to get them to play. Audacity is the best program for that
conversion.
