I started using my Krell KSA-50S again recently, after years being unused. Initially it sounded very good, but bass light. After a week or so the bass was much better. Now I have no complaints at all. I then read that large electrolytic capacitors that are unused lose a lot of their capacity, and need to be "reformed" to regain their capacity.
