Well...yes I saw the same thing. The problem is that the relative peaks (ie the difference between the highest amplitude and 0dB) in 24 bit are no higher than at 16 bit. So it looks like there is no range expansion. What I see is what you would get if you added 8 bits of nothing. At least thats the way I see it.
