While I guess the Quads are very classical-biased, I would generally
think the Tannoys head that way too - they certainly don't have the
amazing immediacy of many other horn speakers, which can be great for
non-classical.  I personally found them rather subdued and
undemonstrative (which I like - my Living Voices and Harbeths could
both be described thus), but they also lacked the insight, timing and
transparency that I value.

I would much rather have my foot-high sub-$2k Harbeths from my kitchen
system, to be honest, but I reiterate that the Westminsters I heard
were brand new, so break-in might be an issue.  A further issue would
be the wife's response, if I bought a pair for my small London
kitchen... :)
