Just wanted to give an update. I figured out how to record to my
PowerBook using a (now obsolete) Griffin PowerWave (via USB). It
records in 16/44.1. I'm doing the recording in GarageBand. I've already
recorded some material (off the new Arcade Fire album), and will first
test the difference b/w the analog output of a stock SB3 and my Derek
Shek NOS DAC (same RCA cables). I think I will end up writing my own
software using Matlab, as the correlation/normalization on an audio
signal shouldn't be that difficult. I'll post another update when I get
this all figured out.
