First of all I don't know where all this talk of 750 comes from. If you
want the bybees is 1050. DC cords range from 1 to 4 hundred. AC cords I
was afraid to check. 

The problem with test driving it is there are subjective reviews posted
in lieu of specs, and I doubt the reason is that ripple is hard to
measure. If Bob says the power supply is making a tremendous
difference,  then if one doesn't hear the difference while test
driving, any logical man/woman must assume their system sucks compared
to Bob's. Your brain will try to convince you that your system doesn't
suck at all costs. 

As you so eloquently put it, beware this hobby.
