I can't read the whole article, but it appears they recommend connecting a Radio Shack variable power supply to the squeezebox. That's a REAL good idea! Leave that voltage adjust knob there where any curious visitor or kid can spin it up to 12V! That will make your SB sound extra special!
Hanging a giant cap on the output of the supply probably does wonders for the performance of its regulator, too. Audio idiocy at its best!
