More precise terms than busy might be random or noisy. I believe
totally random data would sound like white noise and compress
negligibly or not at all. I suspect instrumentation or effects that
more closely resemble white noise reduce the incidence of data patterns
that would offer opportunities for any lossless algorithm to compress.
