I think you will find that the 88.2 Linn masters even downsampled to 44.1 / 24-bit sound pretty fantastic and clearly better than the equivalent 44.1/16-bit CD's (which in themselves sound great!) I'm sure that 88.2 native support will arrive but I doubt many folks will notice a real improvement. For me the leap to 24-bit is more significant (as it was in my studio when I had one...) than the higher sampling rate. YMMV.
