Well, the clock cable is hardwired into the SB as a wordclock in. My DAC has a wordclock out, so the DAC is the clock "master".
Lessloss is convinced this is The Way to go. The best I can understand, having two competing clocks that don't mesh perfectly are a big source of jitter. Having the clock as close as possible to the DAC chip is a good thing. Don't quote me on it though, this is what I distill from their statements. I should be able to compare the "ultimate" Lessloss solution vs. Boulder Cable's "ultimate" standalone SB pretty soon, should be interesting. -- miklorsmith ------------------------------------------------------------------------ miklorsmith's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4349 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32761 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
