In case you didn't try this so far - was a quite big improvement in my
system!

Testsystem: Transporter -> Redgum Amp -> B&W N 802D

I still run single-wiring from the amp to the speakers.
But what I changed was the original B&W cable bridge on the speaker's
bi-wiring terminal and replaced it with short parts of my 10 mm2 redgum
speaker cable (without connectors).

the overall sound really improved quite a lot!

I have no family. I live in a very quite area and I can tell that I
hear any little detail (also before the change). my ears are well
trained over the years of beeing a music freak since ever. I even have
no television :)

okay, I didn't do any blind-testing but honestly, I listen at least 6
hours per day and I know how the transporter files (WAVs) sound...

so I await your comments of your experience (past and future).

should have tried that on my old infinity kappa 8.1i too. there were
some ugly metal plates on the bi-wiring speaker terminals...

summary: if you have bi-wiring speaker terminals, throw away the
manufacturer's bridges and replace them with a piece of your speaker
cable! then listen and judge!
