Why do you say so? What I was taught, and I think this is standard, was that only when the length of a cable was of order or longer than the wavelength of the signal did it need to be treated as a transmission line. Of all audio cables digital interconnects are the only ones anywhere close to this, and even then it's still a factor of 50 or so for a meter-long cable transmitting a 5MHz S/PDIF signal.
