Setup is direct to amp. Transporter->Krell Kav 2250->Martin Logan Summits.
I tried the attenuation, and have settled on NO attenuation. It still doesn't seem loud enough to me. It gets louder than I'm likely to play it 99% of the time. However, the yamaha receiver could play these speakers louder. It sounded terrible on the yamaha at loud volumes, but it could do it. The krell doesn't even come near that volume. And mind you, I'm not looking for ear splitting volume. Something just seems wrong to me. It DOES sound beautiful.
