ModelCitizen, thought that you might experience that, it will not go to it's full potential without a preamp, simply not enough gain. And those PMC speakers are hard to drive as it is.
Borrow some preamp at a friend or a shop. Paring source and amp without a preamp is a lottery. What about the sound compared to Naim?
