My memory is starting to be pressed a bit now, but from recollection the tonality between the Wadia and Lavry was VERY similar, but I felt there was a little more clarity in the Wadia. Just remembered one this on the Wadia 25 I had, it had had the clock in it upgraded so perhaps this was what brought it a smidgen above the Lavry. As for the Benchmark DAC, it is undoubtedly good, but I feel it got over hyped and it's image in the general public has risen to above what it deserves. I currently have the Benchmark, Lavry, Transporter and Belcanto DAC3 on hand, I rate the Transporter when used direct to the AMP as number 1 and the Benchmark last. Of course this is all down to personal taste and is system dependent. -- dlite ------------------------------------------------------------------------ dlite's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4885 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=34733 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
