I've got a CIAudio VDA-2 with the optional VAC-1 power supply. I run
my Oppo DV-981HD DVD player (in 2 channel stereo or virtual surround
mode via a cheap glass toslink cable) and a Squeezebox 3 (via a DH Labs
D75 coaxial cable) into it.

I absolutely love the sound compared to the DACs in the stock units and
the DAC in the Arcam CD72T cd player I had previously.

The VDA-2 is very natural sounding, not bright and not "digital"
sounding. That's what I read before I purchased it and that's what my
ears hear. While not analytical, the VDA-2 still extracts lots of
detail and texture. I can listen to it all day and never get tired of
the sound.

I paid $898+tax (Canadian) and after hearing the combo I think it's a
bargain and don't see myself selling them any time soon.

BTW. I am running a Simaudio Moon I-5 integrated amp which drives a
pair of JM Reynaud Twin Signatures.

Adam.
