I think that's a little harsh. I re-read his postings and didn't feel that he was trying to be disingenuous at all. I have a laptop connected to my DAC as well as a SB2 (with modded PSU) and there isn't a big difference in sound between the two. I wouldn't expect one unless the jitter performance of the laptop was really bad compared to the SB2.
