Using an SB system to access the music, going directly (clock-synced, not SPDIF) to a Meridian active system (or even an F80!) would be a great idea, IMO. However, I have no inside info - the guys at Meridian raved about their Squeezeboxes, but didn't let on anything. I wonder if they are creating their own slim streaming device - they have all the tech. Can't imagine it'll compete on price with the SB3 (or indeed the Transporter) though. If they do create it, one suspects the hi-fi press will drool suitably and say what a great idea it was!
