I run NAIM kit but have never had any problems with ground hum. However, I have bought some unbelievably good cables for my NAIM stuff for super prices from this chap: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/SoundStable.
If it's a five pin DIN to dual phono you need (which I think it is) make sure you get the right one (i.e the pins on the DIN will be withing180 degrees or 240 degrees).
