You didn't read very carefully - he says it's a good compromise to use ALAC rather than uncompressed. What compromise? Later he says it has "a remarkable sound for a file using any compression at all", again betraying an acute lack of brain cells. If you're going to write an article about this, the very first thing to do is to explain the difference between uncompressed, lossless compression, and lossy compression.
