Please see my previous post.

You only want a ground to earth connection in one place in the system,
and Naim started at a time when t/ts were the prevalent source, and
they normally had ground and earth connected.  Naim simply continued
this with their CDPs.

FWIW, I think the 'correct' place to make the connection is at the
pre-amp, because that is the central switching/routing point in the
system.
