Thanks JeffW! Actually I used clear acrylic sourced from a picture frame and cut to fit with a GE plastics cutter knife.
The blue color comes from a gel optical filter film (available from sound reinforcement stores or Amazon) cut to fit the clear acrylic and glued from the inside. It's a little oversized so the glue won't show up in the actual display window.
