if you like that solution - you should consider fanless mini-itx barebone for slimserver. its small, silent, low power (low temperature).
also you can use it with external usb drives, just check it have USB 2.0 There comes inexpensive example ->windows 2000 or windows XP<- unfortunatly i haven't tried it partly be course i prefer linux Lexus Light CI852A (600Mhz Celeron M) 4xUSB + 4xLAN + 40GB 2.5" notebook hard drive for slimserver + 512MB low profile memory for slimserver Netgear SC-101 Storage Central + 2x500GB drives in one of UK inet shops it would cost me around $1000 PS. storage central can be noisy, so keep away from living room. -- _sandis_ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ _sandis_'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11823 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35766 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
