I know very little about Macs, but my understanding is that most of them have pretty respectable built-in sound, so it may well be that eboy already has the necessary hardware. It's likely there will be some sort of hard disk recording and CD writing programs already available on his Mac. That just leaves restoration to deal with, and there I'm afraid I can't help, except to note that the previously mentioned Click Repair works pretty well and does have a Mac version available.
