http://musicahacks.informe.com/index.php There are hacks that (1)allow one to view/copy music files on the Olive - I've done it and it works. (2) explain how to switch the internal HD for a new/larger HD. Haven't tried this. (3) Again, with the new firmware the Olive allows use of external USB or NAS hard drives as additional storage space which are integrated as usable folders in the on board interface.
