I have an RWA modified SB3 that I used for over a year and noticed the same congestion (before and after mod) with the more delicate high freq (cymbal/brush). Sort of a hash which is somewhat like fingernails on the chalkboard. Alternatively...my Transporter cleanly and accurately resolves such trouble-spots. The best soundstage reproduction on any home system I have owned. Holographic 3D sink your teeth into it kind of presentation. Nice.
