I know most audiophiles would cringe to read this but....the quality of the source material (the LP and the transfer to digital) matters a whole lot more than whether it's in 16 or 24 bit. I suppose I have become so accustomed to the ease and convenience of the Wave Corrector program that it is just not a big deal for me that it can't do 24 bit audio. I originally used Audacity but was spending hours converting a single LP (removing clicks manually, etc.) Now I can convert an LP in decent condition in less than 15 minutes (not counting the actual recording time). About all I do now is fine tune the track boundaries and implement some fades, then export. Voila! Then tag using MusicBrainz and I'm done.
