Is it possible to increase the bit depth from 16 bit to 24 bit without degradation or would I be wasting my time ? I have db poweramp with the addons and recently converted some Linn 96Khz 24 bit files down to 48Khz for playing through an SB3 but wondered about increasing the bit depth of CD's. I realize that upsampling is a no no.
