Why don't you demo both and see for yourself? I would give more credence to Wes Philips and stereophile than a newish online mag with a less expeienced reviewer.
But I would still audition both first to make a decision. The problem with that review is that he doesn't tell us if he level matched with a SPL. If he didn't , his comments are worthless. If he didn't do some blind testing his comments are worthless , at least to me.
