Hi, I missed that you had some Cadence hybrid speakers. As it happens, I've heard a Krell KAV-300i (not mine) powering a pair of Cadence Amayas. Also the same speakers being powered by a pair of Audion Silver Night valve mono amps. The Audions were much better - very believable sound and even the bass wasn't shamed by the Krell in speed and depth.
If the speakers must stay, you could do a lot worse than audition these Audion mono amps. I believe they can be had on the used market for ok prices, and I believe they match the Cadences better.
