Well, the aforementioned Audion Silver Nights monoblocks are valve amps
but they have transistor-like qualities in the bass area. I certainly
didn't notice a recessed sound-stage, more like a big soundstage (I
mean, the things at the front sounded really up front, and the things
at the back sounded really at the back...isn't that what everyone
wants? :-) ).

I am not saying they are the amps for every occasion - I am saying they
suited the Cadences.
