If the files have audible defects when played back in a PC software
player like WMP, Winamp, foobar etc. then the rips are defective.  The
source files themselves are corrupted.

You should stop using any ripper that makes defective rips without
informing you that certain tracks might have audible defects.  A good
ripper will either make bit-perfect rips or will at least tell you when
it's encountered problems.  Don't use a ripper that can't do either.
