Before I had the SB3 I used an old Pioneer CD player with my new setup and that gave a totally unsatisfying bass, which the SB3 alone fortunately could do much better. The MK V definitely does even better, e.g. in a track where accompanying low tone strings where barely distinguishable before now they are clearly defined.
