Excellent tool! (haven't tried it yet though) Noticed the thread you started on the other forum, telling that if a WAV is not actualy in HDCD format, it'll output in half (or lower) volume levels. This means that you fill up the most-significant-bits with zero's, and have all the detail of the audio in the lower significant part. Wouldn't it be a better idea to fill up the least-significant-bits instead? this would leave the volume the same, however, with less detail. If implemented this way, it would make it an ideal intermediate WAV filter at the SlimServer side -> realtime decoding HDCD info. -- Heimiko Transporter -> XLR -> Electrocompaniet ECI-3 -> Dynaudio Audience 122 + BK Monolith Analog modded SB3 -> tube buffer -> Trends Audio TA-10 -> Eltax Monitor III ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Heimiko's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3462 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32967 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
