I'll have a think about how best to implement this as there are a few different situations that may want to be detected. Perhaps the cleanest way after all is to have a 'test' mode, where the application reads a certain duration in, and returns a code based upon what it detected during that period. I'd also like to allow 'verbose' debugging, where more information is reported about the hdcd features used during the track.
