I didn't suggest lamp cord - the Blue Jeans cables are good quality
wire, the correct impedance, well terminated and with decent plugs (as
much as RCAs can be!). They tick all the right boxes as to what a
digital cable needs to be, and are about the lowest price product that
does so. IME, this is the sweet spot before diminishing returns kicks
in. I get much larger differences with analogue cables, and reckon
that's a much, er, less bad place to spend your cable money! :)

It's hard to discuss cables technically, as all the marketing material
seems to have such a lot of straight BS or, at best, questionable
science. There's also the repeatability of tests - often I think there
is probably more difference from the cleaning effect of re-inserting
plugs than there is from cables.

My policy, which I guess does not make for a terribly interesting forum
discussion, is to buy well-engineered good value stuff and just enjoy
the music :)
