Ground loop humm is a massive and gross distortion but I'm of the opinion that any electrical noise (notorious in digital equipment)can potentially be transmitted through the coax cable. The advantage to electrically isolating the Squeezebox by using the optical connection goes well beyond ground loop humm. -- gdg ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gdg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1122 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=38188 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
