I still get the loud burst of volume. The fix must have been something to do with Slimserver7 and not the firmware because if you go back a week or so when the nightly builds were still on FW31 the problem had already gone. In fact the every version of SS7 I have tried works. It only changed to FW32 last week and had no affect on the digital inputs. I guessing SS7 handles the digitals input plugin slightly differently.
