It's a different thing not knowing which is which than not being able to
tell the difference.

For example, if I showed you pictures of two butterflies: "Speyeria
atlantis irene" [1], and "Chlosyne lacinia" [2] I bet you could tell
them apart but I'd be surprised if you could tell me which was which
(unless of course, you're a lepidopterist!
