I've got an Aberdeen modded Tact 2.0s and have compared a stock SB3 digital out into the Tact vs a stock Transporter digital out into the Tact. No question that the Transporter is a step up (more relaxed, defined, less edgy) compared to the SB3 but, in my opinion and to my ears, not enough better to warrant the significantly higher price. I bought the SB3.
I will say that the SB3 digital out into the Tact is definitely better than the analog out of the SB3. If you do pick up the Tact, definitely check out the mods from Aberdeen.
